PRESENTATION

Calíope is the journal published by the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry. A critical journal dedicated to the scholarly examination of the poetry of Spain and the Americas during the Renaissance, Baroque and Colonial periods, Calíope is published biannually —except for special issues—by Penn State University Press, and is provided to members of the Society for Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry.

      Access the entire archive of Calíope since our first volume in 1995 until the most recent issue. Project MUSE promotes the dissemination of essential humanities and social science resources through collaboration with libraries, publishers, and scholars.
    • Publication Policy
      The policy of Calíope is to publish articles embodying the results of detailed original research. Essays are typically refereed anonymously by two independent academic specialists. Submissions should follow current MLA Style. Articles are usually 6,000-8,000 words in length, including footnotes, and should normally not exceed 10,000 words. Authors should include abstracts in English and Spanish of approximately 100-125 words, five keywords, and “palabras clave.”

      Calíope does not accept unsolicited book reviews. Books published in the Americas should be sent for review to Jason McCloskey jam080@bucknell.edu, 215 Madison St., State College, PA 16801, U.S.A.
